Emergency Procedures

Unfortunately, there are many things that can happen. In order to be as prepared as possible, LAL has developed the following plans for each emergency type.

Fire ProceduresFire Procedures

In the event of a fire, immediately pull the fire lever by the door and evacuate the building immediately. Please gather in the parking lot.

Earthquake ProceduresEarthquake Procedures

In the event of an earthquake, everyone should exit the building and gather in the center of the Parking Lot.

Flood ProceduresFlood Procedures

In the event of a flood, it will be necessary to flip the main power breakers at the back of the building so all power is dead. Once power has been killed, evacuate the building. If evacuation is impossible, instruct all others to head to the second story gathering room

Tornado ProceduresTornado Procedures

In the event of a tornado, instruct all others in the building to take cover in our large walk in refrigerator. The refrigerator should easily hold 10 people. If it is impossible to fit everyone in the refrigerator, instruct the remaining folks to take cover in the bathrooms.

Bomb Threat ProceduresBomb Threat Procedures

In the event Learn A Latte receives a bomb threat, evacuate the building immediately and ask folks to gather in the parking area as far away from the building as possible. Once it is clear that all are out, dial 911 and report this to emergency personnel.

In the event Learn A Latte experiences a shooting incident, take cover as best you can and dial 911 as soon as possible to report to emergency personnel.
